T-Ball Mama

When I signed the boys up for t-ball I figured I would need to help out some. Little did I realize that I'd be in the field most of the time with my younger one. Today I helped in the outfield while the coach let the boys take turns batting. I also didn't realize how much I would enjoy getting to invest this time into my boys and into others kids. It's actually quite fun and it's nice to get some fresh air too.

Supervision

First day of my supervision towards my licensing hours. So thankful to start on this phase. Also nice to be reminded why I'm doing what I do for my job. I enjoy working with the crisis pregnancy population, Latino community, and military families. Now to just keep on keeping on. I love how God works it all out!

Fun at the YMCA

Just got a free membership to the YMCA for up to eighteen months as long as my family gets there eight times a month. I started doing Zumba classes there and am really enjoying them. I'm not a good dancer (pretty horrible actually) but love Zumba, I can move even if I can't dance! The boys are doing t-ball there. We have practice Thursday and Friday evenings and games on Saturday mornings. Nathan loves it so far. Jacob is so-so, it depends on his mood if he wants to participate so we shall see how things go. I've also enjoy my free time reading on the Kindle while walking on the treadmill. They even have parent nights out. So far I'm very happy with what the Y has to offer. It's a great outlet and fun activities for the whole family. I'm even trying to get the boys enrolled in swim lessons which they desperately need to learn the skills and I need the peace of mind that they are safer to be in the pool (of course with adult supervision). It just makes me feel better if they can learn to swim with there being only one of me and two of them. They love being in the pool but I want them to have the skills. Time to get them swim lessons for sure.

Back to the Routine Again

Back to work and the gym today. It's nice to get back to a routine. Now if I could make the paperwork go away or just complete itself! Ah, but that is wishful thinking so for now that is all because I need to get back to the paperwork. I know, I know, the exciting life I live.

Freezing

I've learned the art of freezing foods. One of my favorites is chocolate chip pumpkin bread. Yum! Also, love just freezing my leftovers that the boys and I don't finish so we can have them another day or I can take them for lunch. Tomorrow I'm making pork and sauerkraut and going to freeze whatever we don't eat for dinner. Also, loving making crockpot meals. Tonight, I tried a quick and easy recipe from a friend's website. The boys liked it (even though Jacob called it weird, he asked for seconds). Yeah, that makes sense doesn't it.
Tomorrow is back to work and routine around here. A new season in our life, we'll just take it one day at a time and see how it goes. Hope everyone has a fantastic week.

Oh Boy, Oh Boy!

Boys, boys, and more boys. Today was the kick off day for both of my boys t-ball teams. Lots of little boys out their having a blast and some crying going on at the same time. We also have a few girls on our teams too. I thought it was hilarious when my older son was wearing a bright pink helmet to bat and run the bases. My hubby might not get as big as a kick out of that kind of thing but it just makes me smile! Then after the boys games we headed to the safari with a friend and her son. We had a 4,5, and 6 year old with ten times the amount of energy that we had but hey it was a fun day and I'm thinking my boys are going to sleep good tonight. It was gorgeous weather to be out in today so I'm glad we spent the most of our time outside! Too lovely to stay inside today.

A Day with My Boys

I got to spend the day with my boys. This morning I went on a field trip with Nathan to go bowling with his class. Things went well and I had fun with him and his friends. This evening Nathan had t-ball practice and he enjoyed that. Jacob and I had fun throwing the ball with each other. It was such a beautiful day today! I'm loving the warmer weather.
